Each of these and other powers that controlled parts of North India left behind evidence of their rule in the form of monuments such as forts, palaces, temples, mosques and tombs as well as roads, bridges and lakes made for civic welfare.

International Kite Festival Jaipur

In the first category, fighter kite competition is held where thousands of kites fight among each other to reach higher and higher. On the final day of the festival, the venue shifts to the enchanting lawns of the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jodhpur. Here the grand finals of the "Fighter Kite Competition" and the final judging of the "Display Kites" are held. It's followed by the prize distribution ceremony and the farewell dinner.
